Golden Acre Jurassic Lodges are situated in Eype in one of the many beautiful villages of West Dorset. Eype (pronounced ‘Eep’) is full of quaint thatched cottages, dating back to the 18th and 19th century, it boasts a village pub, hotel and excellent tea-room. We are located just west of the bustling market town of Bridport. The park is just a short stroll away from the Magical sand and shingle Eype Beach at the heart of the Jurassic Coast. Set in this beautiful location it provides an ideal vacation for walkers, families, ornithologists and geologists.
We are a small peaceful self catering, private coastal lodge park . The park is quiet and relaxing, perfect for your next Coastal Get Away. Click here to see our selection of one- and two bedroom lodges. Dogs are very welcome at no extra charge at the park and permitted all year round on Eype beach. All our lodges now have fully enclosed gardens. We are easily reached, just a short drive from the A35. Golden Acre is perfect for the comforts of home by the coast, especially if you don’t fancy that long haul trek further West! Solo Travellers welcome.
West Dorset has much to offer for the holiday-maker. As well as the miles of magnificent coastline that make Dorset a natural attraction, we have numerous independent shops, houses, parks, cosy pubs and tempting tearooms. We are near Lyme Regis, the pearl of Dorset, where the recent Kate Winslet film ‘Ammonite’ was filmed. For the ‘foodies’ amongst you, we boast many excellent pubs and restaurants, farm shops and tea-rooms. A short drive into Devon will take you to ‘River Cottage’ made famous on our televisions by Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall.
There is one accessible mobility scooter and wheelchair-friendly lodge: the Luxury two bedroom Marine Suite lodge. Please do call us to discuss your requirements, we will try to accommodate you; our friendly welcoming team are only too happy to help!
We look forward to welcoming you and your pets.
